Exam stress? We understand.

The syllabus for B.Ed Special Education (Hearing Impairment) is vast. You have to study psychology, audiology, and general education all at once. The best way to reduce anxiety and score good marks is to practice with Previous Year Question Papers.

Many students work hard but fail to score because they don’t know the Exam Pattern. RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) follows a specific style of questioning. If you solve the last 3 years’ papers, you will notice that nearly 40% of questions are repeated.

In this article, we provide you with the semester-wise question papers and a guide on how to write answers to get full marks.

Understanding the Exam Pattern (RCI Standard)

Before you download the papers, you must understand the marking scheme. Most universities (like MPBOU, TNOU, NSOU, and Regular Universities) follow this structure:

Maximum Marks: 80 (Theory) + 20 (Internal) = 100 Marks.

Time: 3 Hours.

The Question Paper is divided into 2 Parts:

PartQuestion TypeMarksRequirement
Part AEssay / Long Answer12 to 16 MarksYou must write 4-5 pages. Need detailed Introduction, Body, and Conclusion.
Part BShort Notes4 to 5 MarksYou must write 1-1.5 pages. Focus on definitions and bullet points.

Pro Tip: In Part A, always draw a flowchart or diagram (e.g., Structure of Ear, Maslow’s Pyramid) to get that extra 1-2 marks.

How to Analyze a Question Paper? (Student Strategy)

Don’t just read the paper; analyze it.

  1. Mark Repeated Questions: If a question appeared in 2022 and 2024, it has a high chance of appearing in 2026.
  2. Check the Terminology: RCI changes terms. “Mentally Retarded” is now “Intellectual Disability.” “Deaf” is often referred to as “Hearing Impairment.” Be careful with these terms in your answers.
  3. Time Management:
    • Long Answers (4 questions): Spend 30 mins each = 2 Hours.
    • Short Answers (5 questions): Spend 10 mins each = 50 Mins.
    • Review: 10 Mins.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: Do questions repeat in B.Ed Special Education exams?

Ans: Yes! About 40-50% of the concepts are repeated. Topics like RTE Act, RPWD Act, Piaget’s Theory, and Classification of Hearing Loss are asked almost every alternate year.

Q2: Are these papers for regular or distance mode?

Ans: The syllabus for both Regular and Distance (ODL) B.Ed Special Education is governed by RCI. So, the core questions remain the same. You can use these papers for both.

Q3: Where can I get the answers to these questions?

Ans: You can check our “Notes & Study Material” section. We have solved many of these important questions there.
